Shi Gandang

The Shi Gandang, located in Gancuo Village, was erected by early settlers to protect the area. It has a history of over 300 years, and its current appearance is the result of a renovation by local residents eighty years ago. Every Dragon Boat Festival, plays are performed as part of the offerings to thank the deities. Next to the Shi Gandang stands an inverted banyan tree, magnificent in form and lush with foliage, which is also worshipped alongside the Shi Gandang during the Dragon Boat Festival.
