Shuzijiao Catholic Church

Shuzijiao Catholic Church, Yunlin's first Catholic church, is located on the south bank of the Zhuoshui River. During the Guangxu Emperor's reign, believers from the Shuzijiao settlement invited Father Heislop (Gao Xilong) from Luocuo Catholic Church to preach here. They rented a simple bamboo house as a temporary mission, marking the beginning of the church's establishment and the genesis of Catholicism's spread in Yunlin County.
