Dapi Sanshan Guowang Temple

The Sanshan Guowang (Three Mountain Kings) is the collective name for the three mountain deities of Jianshan, Mingshan, and Dushan in Jieyang County, Guangdong Province. They were later conferred the title 'Sanshan Guowang' by Emperor Taizong of Song. During the Kangxi era of the Qing Dynasty, the Sanshan Guowang cult was brought to Taiwan by a person from Guangdong who crossed the sea. Since then, they have been worshipped in Taiwan, becoming one of the temples for the Hakka people.
