Lutaoyang Jiang Family Settlement

The Jiang Family Ancestral House, located between Yujing and Nanxi districts of Tainan along Provincial Highway 3, is widely recognized as Taiwan's largest and most well-preserved traditional large-scale Hokkien-style rural settlement. This ancestral settlement, covering 3.5 hectares, retains 200-year-old traditional mud-brick houses and bamboo-woven houses, as well as red-brick and washed-stone houses from the Japanese colonial era. It is like a miniature representation of the evolution of Taiwanese rural architecture over 300 years.
