Visitor Essentials

The Wunuan Stone Slab Bridge is located near the back of Sicheng Railway Station in Jiaoxi Township. It is named after Wunuan Port and is also known as the 'Siwei Bridge'. The bridge is approximately 4 meters long and 2.6 meters wide, and served as the main official road connecting Jiaoxi to Yilan during the Qing Dynasty. Originally, the Wunuan Stone Slab Bridge was constructed from six long stone slabs. Later, the bridge deck was widened, and the slabs were separated by long concrete columns. Legend has it that the bridge was built using ballast stones transported by ships from Wushi Port, through Dezikou Stream, to Wunuan Port.
