Yilan Literary Museum

The Yilan Literary Museum is located in the old town area of Yilan City, right next to the Yilan Establishment Memorial Hall. It's easily accessible, about a 15-minute walk from Yilan Train Station. To create a base for preserving Lanyang literature, the Yilan County Government designated a literary park encompassing two historic buildings: the "Former Principal's Residence of the Agricultural School" (Yilan Literary Museum) and the "Former Chief Secretary's Residence." The Former Principal's Residence, which serves as the main building of the Literary Museum, was built during the Japanese colonial period and retains the rustic charm and refinement of a Japanese wooden structure. After restoration, it received the Golden Quality Award for public works, making it a significant venue that combines historical assets with literary development.
