Taiwan Drama Museum

The Taiwan Drama Museum is the first museum established in Yilan County and also Taiwan's first public local museum. Founded in 1990, its convenient location near Yilan Train Station makes it highly accessible. The serene environment surrounding the museum makes it an ideal place to explore Taiwan's traditional theatrical culture. The museum's mission is to preserve and promote traditional Taiwanese theater. It primarily collects historical materials from important folk theatrical genres such as Taiwanese opera, hand puppet theater, and shadow play. Through in-depth research, interviews, and compilation, it has become a crucial hub for the study of Taiwanese drama.
