Dongyue Spring

Dongyue Spring is located near Dong'ao Elementary School in Nanao Township, Yilan County, and is the most popular free swimming spot in the area during summer. The spring water here was accidentally unearthed during the double-tracking project of the North-Link Line railway. The water quality is crystal clear, maintaining a constant temperature of about 14 to 16 degrees Celsius year-round, making it extremely cool even on hot summer days. In 2007, the Nanao Township Office developed this area into 'Dongyue Spring Park,' and it has now become a well-equipped family-friendly attraction. For transportation, visitors can take a train to Dong'ao Station and reach the park with about a 15 to 20-minute walk.
