This park covers an area of over ten hectares and is home to more than a hundred species of plants. The park focuses on natural ecology, aiming not to damage the natural landscape and ecosystem. Therefore, many natural creatures inhabit the area, including fireflies during the season from March to April, and rhinoceros beetles, which can be seen flying at night from June to July. There is also a fish pond surrounded by mahogany trees. In the evening breeze, mahogany leaves and leaves from century-old eucalyptus trees fall, complementing the glow of the setting sun, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene. The park cultivates many exotic flowers and fruits. Among them is the Brazilian Jabuticaba (Plinia cauliflora), commonly known as 'tree grape.' Jabuticaba originates from Brazil, also known as tree grape, and is an evergreen woody plant. It bears fruit twice a year, in spring and autumn. The fruits are large and round, with an average sweetness of 13 to 17 Brix, making them sweet and delicious. It can be brewed into wine with an alcohol content of up to 48%, possessing the unique aroma of grapes. Because tree grapes are extremely rare in Taiwan, if not seen in an orchard, most people would mistake them for ordinary grapes based solely on their appearance. However, when tasted, they are fragrant and sweet, with a texture completely different from grapes—not only refreshing and crisp but also highly nutritious. In addition to the unique Jabuticaba, there are many other native tropical plants such as Southeast Asian rambutans, Indian horseradish trees (Moringa), Pacific olives, Mauritian serrated guavas, and powder puff flowers. To promote tourism and develop recreational agriculture, the future goal is to transform the park into an ecological park featuring native tree species.
