Tsou Natural and Cultural Center

The Tsou Natural and Cultural Center is located in the Dabang tribe of Alishan. Its primary focus is Tsou culture, promoting the collection and preservation of Tsou cultural artifacts, developing diverse educational programs to attract academic research, and enhancing visitors' knowledge and tourism experiences. It has become a significant pillar in Alishan's cultural development and ecotourism routes. The architecture of the Alishan Township Cultural Center incorporates the distinctive imagery of a "kuba" (men's meeting house), emphasizing the center's clear identity as a facility dedicated to the Tsou people. From the entrance plaza, visitors can access the first-floor information desk and permanent exhibition area. An audio-visual presentation room is also available for visitors to gather information about the Tsou people. The center offers gamified interactive experiences, a collection room showcasing authentic artifacts, and tribal landscape sculptures that create a three-dimensional atmosphere, providing visitors with a diverse interpretive experience. Ascending the stairs leads to the special exhibition space on the second floor, where an outdoor viewing terrace offers distant views of the Alishan Highway and a panoramic overlook of Dabang. The Cultural Center also provides tourism consultation, guided tours, reading facilities, and a rest area for recharging. The surrounding area is rich in cultural and ecological resources, including an ecological trail, the Dabang community's kuba (men's meeting house), the "mo no peisiya" (family sacrificial house), and a Tsou legend story wall painted by tribal artist Chuang Hui-ming.
