Dahu Jianshan, also known as Jiandongzi Mountain, stands at an elevation of 1357 meters. It has no triangulation station at its summit and is considered the foremost among Chiayi County's "Three Peaks and Four Freezing Mountains." It is located 2 kilometers northeast of Dahu Village in Fanlu Township, Chiayi County, bordering Qiedongzi in Guanghua Village, Zhuzaki Township to the east. To its northwest is Hongcailing Ridge, extending north to Baibaling Ridge and connecting to the Four Heavenly Kings Mountain of Shuisheliao. To its southwest are Bantianyian and Sanbaoshan, forming a north-south alignment. Surrounded by numerous peaks, the scenery is ever-changing and magnificent, with the Bazhang River winding its way below the mountain. This activity starts from the side of Huoshaoliao Highway in Dahu Village, where a large sign reads "Jianshan Hiking Trail." From here, it takes about 3 hours to reach the summit. Dahu Jianshan is renowned in southern mountaineering circles for its strikingly prominent ridge, majestic and beautiful scenery, and thrilling climbing routes. The summit offers exceptionally good views with diverse landscapes, at times shrouded in layers of fog and clouds, and at other times bathed in vibrant rainbows, making it a mountain well worth visiting and ascending.
