Bantouyao is located in Bantou Village, Xingang Township. It is the first factory in Taiwan to use tunnel kiln technology to produce temple cut-and-paste ceramics and Koji pottery. Later, the 'Bantouyao Cultural Museum' was established to promote Koji pottery culture, becoming a unique Koji pottery garden in Taiwan. Bantouyao's landscape design integrates its craft techniques, featuring a blend of classical Chinese gardens and Japanese architecture, creating truly beautiful scenery. Visitors can experience DIY Koji ceramic mosaic art here, as well as the joy of creating their own mosaics, ceramic plate paintings, bowl and plate painting, and more. Finished painted bowls and plates, after being fired in the tunnel kiln, can even be mailed to visitors. Additionally, there is an outdoor cafe, and accommodation (B&B) and afternoon tea are provided. At Bantouyao, you can not only learn about the process of a temple's creation and experience Koji pottery making, but also admire the unique landscape and relax, truly experiencing the cultural feast born from the blend of tradition and modernity. It is well worth a visit. Explore Bantouyao Koji Pottery and Cut-and-Paste Ceramic Art Park in Xingang, where you'll discover numerous interesting mosaic collages and Koji pottery artworks. You can not only admire them but even ride on the back of a mosaic-tiled ox, imagining yourself as a farmer from that era and truly experiencing the feeling of riding on an ox. You can also choose a favorite mosaic-tiled chair to sit and cool off, adding another unique element of fun. To perpetuate the Koji pottery and cut-and-paste ceramic art, founders Mr. and Mrs. Chen Chung-cheng established Bantouyao, transforming the original 'Yichang Ceramic Art Factory' into its current form as a tourist factory. It combines Koji pottery and cut-and-paste ceramic art with outdoor gardens, and more, creating a cultural leisure park through creative experiential recreation. The park's vibrant and colorful mosaic tiles are used to create many humorous human figures, artistic decorations, and more, incorporating ceramic plate techniques to highlight the local cultural characteristics of Xingang Township. Currently, the park is broadly divided into five areas: the Outdoor Area, Handicraft Sales Area, Experiential Workshops, Bantou House Restaurant, and Koji Pottery and Cut-and-Paste Ceramic Art Museum. With its Oriental garden landscaping and integration of various Koji pottery and cut-and-paste ceramic artworks, a visit here offers not only the chance to admire the craftsmanship and enjoy afternoon tea, but also on-site experiences like ceramic plate painting and DIY Koji ceramic mosaic tiling. Bantouyao Koji Pottery and Cut-and-Paste Ceramic Art Park's diverse recreational planning offers both active fun and tranquil relaxation, accompanying you through a leisurely and pleasant holiday.
