Chiayi Heart Vision Hall

The "Chiayi Heart Vision Hall" and "Chiayi City Railway Elevation Community Workstation" are located on the east side in front of Chiayi Railway Station (formerly Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport Chiayi Station). The English name for the Vision Hall, "Vision Station," borrows the spatial meaning of a "station" as a place where people gather, exchange information, and wait to depart. Coincidentally, this building, rented from Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport, was originally the old Taiwan Motor Transport station. During the renovation of the old building, the designers specifically preserved the original "Have a pleasant journey" classical painted archway. Currently, the first phase of the Vision Hall's exhibition, themed "Finding the Heart of Peach City," showcases the past and present of Chiayi Station, an introduction to Chiayi's historical evolution, simulated elevated railway routes, and more. Visitors can use AR augmented reality with tablet computers to view a 3D station map. The Vision Hall also functions as the Chiayi City Railway Elevation Community Workstation. Its exhibition content will be continuously updated with the progress of the railway elevation's detailed design, providing engineering information, and a series of public participation seminars, briefing sessions, and workshops will also be held. All citizens are invited to visit the "Chiayi Heart Vision Hall" to learn about the past and present of Chiayi Station and participate in this journey of understanding the city's past and imagining Chiayi's future.
