Visitor Essentials

Dahu Park's lake is also known as Egret Lake due to the flocks of egrets. It is adjacent to Egret Mountain and offers distant views of Wuzhi Mountain, Zhongyong Mountain, and others. The park covers an area of approximately 13 hectares. Built in 1979 to emulate Chinese classical gardens, Dahu Lake itself spans over 10 hectares, making it a regional park. The park features a variety of plants; bald cypress, golden shower trees, flame gold rain trees, and azaleas, among others, bloom seasonally, adding different hues to various areas of the park throughout the year. Egrets, night herons, and ducks are often seen by the lake, along with seasonal birds such as grey herons and great egrets. This rich ecosystem attracts many visitors and their families to the park to enjoy nature. Additionally, the park boasts a variety of classical and charming facilities, such as the Jin Dai Bridge, Nine-Bend Bridge, and Waterside Pavilion. The Jin Dai Bridge was once voted one of the most beautiful scenic bridges in the world; its arched shape and reflection on the lake attract numerous photography experts, all seeking to capture scenes resembling traditional Chinese ink wash paintings. The Nine-Bend Bridge is named for its winding, twisting path with nine turns and thirteen bends, and its unique design is also one of the reasons many visitors come to the park. The Waterside Pavilion is a two-story gazebo; from its upper level, one can photograph trains on the Wenhua Line MRT and enjoy panoramic views of the entire park. When visiting Dahu Park, in addition to escaping the hustle and bustle, enjoying the scenery, strolling along the lakeside willow path, appreciating the lake and mountains, immersing oneself in the bald cypress forest to absorb nature's essence, and enjoying the scent of fresh grass, visitors can also engage in various activities such as fishing, picnicking, and swimming. If combined with hiking activities in the nearby mountains, Dahu Park will be the ideal leisure spot for a half-day or full-day trip.
