Xinsheng Park_Rose Garden

Xinsheng Park was completed in 1978, situated at the intersection of Xinsheng Overpass, Minzu East Road, Songjiang Road, and Binjiang Street, covering an area of nearly 20 hectares. The park offers a variety of facilities, including the Xinsheng Heated Swimming Pool, a baseball field, basketball courts, and a 'Labyrinth Garden' that incorporates environmental concepts. In recent years, the 'Earth Travel Playground' was also added, providing a great place for adults and children to play, relax, and exercise. Nine statues of varying sizes are also scattered throughout the park, named 'Leisurely Years,' 'Peace Spreads Across the Land,' 'Flock of Cranes,' 'Hope,' 'Thriving,' 'Love and Peace,' 'Father's Words,' 'The Way of Spring,' and 'Unity,' adding a rich cultural atmosphere to the park. Xinsheng Park was selected as one of the four exhibition areas for the 2010 Taipei International Flora Exposition. It incorporated the nearby Lin An Tai Historical House and was planned as the 'Dream Zone (Xinsheng Park),' the 'Tea Zone (Lin An Tai Historical House),' and a connection to the Dajia Riverside Park area, featuring the 'Flower Tunnel - Green Dawn Path' constructed with various flowers, trees, and bamboo structures. The Taipei Rose Garden, located within the Flora Expo's Xinsheng Park, was developed by the Parks and Street Lights Office of the Taipei City Government's Public Works Department, converting the outdoor exhibition area of the Health Pavilion into a rose garden. In 2021, three new areas were added: the 'Colorful Rose Garden,' 'Breeder's Garden,' and 'Horticultural Plant Exhibition Area.' In 2022, the 'Secret Garden' was newly constructed, featuring a romantic heart-shaped water feature, offering visitors more photo opportunities and check-in spots. Additionally, due to its proximity to Songshan Airport, you can often see planes soaring low overhead. The beautiful scenery of the park, coupled with planes streaking across the sky, creates a truly unique spectacle. The Taipei Rose Exhibition, held every March, is also not to be missed. Rose varieties from all over the world gather here, and the exhibition area also features various landscape designs and art installations. It is perfect for couples, spouses, and families to visit together, enjoy the flowers, and soak in the romantic atmosphere surrounded by roses.
