To provide more parking spaces for citizens, the Parking Management Office constructed the World Trade Park Underground Parking Lot in Nangang District, and carried out simple landscaping in 2011. The park covers an area of approximately 1.2 hectares and is located at Lane 106, Jingmao 2nd Road, Nangang District. To its east is the Nangang Exhibition Center, to its west is the Nangang Software Park (Phases 1 and 2), to its south is the Nangang Software Park (Phase 3), and to its north is the CTBC Bank Headquarters Building. To provide a higher quality recreational space, CTBC Bank Co., Ltd., upholding the spirit of serving society, invested funds in 2013 to donate and adopt Sanchong World Trade Park, transforming the original simply landscaped lawn into a park where flowering trees orchestrate seasonal colors. In spring, summer, and autumn, it is adorned with enchanting floral hues, with youthful pink, crimson-gold summer, and white-autumn russet-red, narrating the changing seasons. The park features diverse landscape designs. A misting system has been specially installed to create the cool and moist environment favored by most ferns, leading to the planting of various ferns in the “Fern Valley Garden”. Aquatic plants such as willow trees and Barringtonia racemosa are planted by the shallow pond. Elevated boardwalks are also installed for visitors to explore the forest environment. The dry-land fountain plaza is a place where children love to linger. At night, high and low landscape lights illuminate pedestrian areas, making it even more beautiful as night falls. The park is planted with various arbor trees such as camphor trees, neem trees, fish-bone trees, Formosan sweetgum, Chinese tallow trees, green maples, Elaeocarpus serratus, flamboyant trees, yellow flamboyant trees, golden shower trees, Taiwanese ash, wild cherry trees, Showa cherry trees, and double-flowered cherry trees. These trees emit abundant phytoncides, making visitors feel as if they are taking a forest bath, offering a “forest breath” experience to park-goers. Amidst the busy and fast-paced rhythm of life, whether you are an office worker nearby or a visitor specifically coming for a trip, you can all enjoy a visual, auditory, and spiritual feast. It’s guaranteed to be a worthwhile trip! (Source: Park Explore Website)
