Taipei Expo Park Collection Botanical Garden_Angel Pavilion

The Taipei Expo Park Collection Botanical Garden, located in Xinsheng Park, is a rare gem in Taiwan. It uniquely combines a diamond-rated green building with the expertise of the nation's top horticultural specialists. Centered on the themes of humanity, plants, and the environment, the garden creates a miniature representation of Taiwan's diverse ecosystems by showcasing plants from different regions based on their climates and geographies. This makes it Taiwan's only exhibition-style botanical greenhouse that displays the most species per unit area. The garden's exhibition areas include the Taiwan Native Plants Area, which highlights local characteristics; the Tropical/Subtropical Plants Area, evoking a tropical island feel; the Orchid and Fern Exhibition Area, where a multitude of these plants display their beauty; the Succulent Plants Area, featuring plants of unusual and varied forms; the Temperate Plants Area, offering a feast for both sight and smell; and the Alpine Plants Area, symbolizing resilience. Furthermore, within the Temperate Plants Area, there is a special begonia exhibition. Professor Ching-Yi Peng of Academia Sinica has generously provided over a hundred begonia species, which he meticulously collected from around the world over more than 20 years. This exhibition specifically highlights begonias with their distinct leaf shapes and vibrant, beautiful patterns.
