Jingguo Qihai Cultural Park

The "Jingguo Qihai Cultural Park" has a total area of 3.98 hectares, with building sites covering approximately 2,000 ping (about 6,600 square meters). The park's surroundings feature large areas of greenery, public art, and waterside promenades. Its architectural design harmonizes with the natural environment, aiming to meet diamond-level green building standards. The park is centered around the Qihai Residence historical site and the President Chiang Ching-kuo Library. It includes a visitor center and integrates the scenic beauty of Qihai Lake and Jiantan Mountain, along with a lakeside trail, to form a comprehensive cultural park. We planned and operate this important former residence based on the principles of honoring Mr. Jingguo, revitalizing historical sites, and perpetuating historical vitality. We hope it will become a new destination for in-depth cultural tourism in Taipei City and a new cultural landmark rich in historical significance. The Qihai Residence served as the living space for Mr. and Mrs. Jingguo. Its simple interior furnishings reflect Mr. Jingguo's unpretentious, approachable, and modest demeanor. The Qihai Residence also features a visitor waiting area. This space displays a timeline of the residence, artifacts, panoramic tours of the residence, and introductions to its architecture and ecology. Exhibition Hall 1, themed "The Promoter of Taiwan's Modernization," introduces Mr. Jingguo's life and family, showcasing his personality traits, significant political achievements, and life experiences. Exhibition Hall 2, themed "Reflections on the Years," transports visitors back to Mr. Jingguo's era. Through his diaries, the perspectives of his attendants and subordinates, and his calligraphy and paintings, visitors can gain insight into different facets of Mr. Jingguo.
