The "Memorial Monument to White Terror Political Victims" is situated in the northwest corner of Jieshou Park in Taipei City, at the intersection of Ketagalan Boulevard and Huaining Street, facing the square in front of the Presidential Office Building. Its prominent location holds deep historical and contemporary significance. This project was designed by architect Wang Li-fu, with construction commencing on October 16, 2007, and completed on schedule on March 27, 2008. President Chen Shui-bian, Vice President Annette Lu, Premier Chang Chun-hsiung, and others were invited to attend the completion ceremony for the "White Terror Political Victims Memorial Monument Project."
