Guanmao Mountain Geological Landscape Trail

Guanmao Mountain is located on the northeastern side of Beigan Island and is a unique and important geological landscape in Matsu, named for its distinctive mountain shape resembling an official's hat. The rock formations in this area have been sculpted over a long period by sea erosion, weathering, and tectonic activity, forming distinct joints, folds, and bedding lines, making it a natural outdoor classroom for learning about island geomorphology. Walking along the trail, visitors can enjoy views of Beigan's eastern coastline, sea cliffs, bay curves, and surrounding mountain ranges, making it a popular outdoor route with both natural educational and scenic value.
