2026 New Taipei Austronesian Culture Festival

Since its inception in 2020, the New Taipei Austronesian Culture Festival has attracted over 190,000 visitors, making it the largest Austronesian cultural celebration in Northern Taiwan. In 2026, with "Ocean" as its theme, the festival will be grandly presented for the first time as a "Grassland Music Festival," showcasing a vast maritime perspective and serving as a stage for the convergence of Austronesian cultures, inviting Austronesian peoples from multiple countries to gather at the Shisanhang Museum of Archaeology for cultural exchange. This year's program includes two continuous days of traditional and modern music and dance performances, Austronesian crafts, ocean-themed DIY activities, an Austronesian language mini-school, and an island-style market. Additionally, exciting content such as the "Austronesian Navigator Challenge" and "Ocean Story Island - Sister Tells Stories" will be featured. Everyone is welcome to explore and learn about Austronesian maritime culture together.
