2026 Taichung Cycling Carnival Let’s All Ride!

I. Event Introduction: The beloved Taichung Cycling Carnival enters its 10th year, inviting people nationwide to cycle through Taichung and experience the charm and joy of cycling tourism. This event starts from the Rhinoceros Beetle Ecological Park in Dongshi District, cycling along the Dongfeng Bicycle Green Way and Houfeng Bikeway, passing through the Dajia River Hualiang Steel Bridge and the century-old Tunnel No. 9, finally arriving at Houli Horse Ranch, covering approximately 14.8 kilometers. Along the route, natural landscapes, cultural history, and the unique features of cycling tourism are integrated, allowing participants to experience the distinct charm of Taichung's mountain town during their ride. We sincerely invite everyone to explore Taichung on two wheels and enjoy a healthy, low-carbon, and fun-filled cycling journey. II. III. Event Information: (I) Event Date: August 29, 2026 (Saturday) 07:30-15:00 (II) Registration Date: From June 29, 2026 (Monday) 11:00 to July 31, 2026 (Friday) 17:00, or until all spots are filled. (III) Event Location: Starting Point: Rhinoceros Beetle Ecological Park (No. 70, Xixin Ln., Zhongxin St., Shangxin Vil., Dongshi Dist., Taichung City) Finishing Point: Houli Horse Ranch (No. 41, Sishan Rd., Houli Dist., Taichung City) (IV) Cycling Route: Starting Point: Rhinoceros Beetle Ecological Park → Dongfeng Bicycle Green Way → Mid-route Supply Station (Shigang Visitor Center) → Houfeng Bikeway → Dajia River Hualiang Steel Bridge → Tunnel No. 9 → Houli Horse Ranch, approximately 14.8 kilometers in total. (V) Target Audience: The Taichung Cycling Carnival enters its 10th year, expanding to offer 1,700 free participation spots. We welcome people from all regions to register enthusiastically! (VI) How to Participate: An opening performance will be held at 8:30 AM on August 29 (Saturday) at the starting point, 'Rhinoceros Beetle Ecological Park.' The ride will commence with a gunshot at 9:00 AM towards the finishing point, 'Houli Horse Ranch.' Citizen friends are welcome to bring their own bicycles and join, experiencing the charm of a thousand-person ride through Taichung! (VII) Event Fee: This event is free to participate. Participants can bring their own bicycles or choose to rent bicycles provided by the organizer. If choosing to rent, a deposit of NT$500 per person must be paid at the time of registration. Please take good care of the bicycle; participants will be held responsible for any loss. The deposit will be refunded upon receiving the completion gift at the finish line after the ride. ● Upon successful registration, a website confirmation email will be received. For those requiring bicycle rental, registration is considered complete only after the payment is made. IV. Event Assembly and Bicycle Rental Process Description: (I) Check-in will be exclusively by mail. Check-in materials will be sent out one to two weeks before the event. On the event day, participants should arrive at the venue according to the pre-notified check-in time. (II) On the event day, participants can borrow bicycles and receive completion certificates by presenting their bib numbers. Please wear your bib number in a visible location for easy identification. (III) For those borrowing bicycles, on the event day, proceed to the 'Rhinoceros Beetle Ecological Park' within the designated check-in time, present your bib number to the service staff to borrow a bicycle. Please take good care of the bicycle; participants will be held responsible for any loss. (IV) All bicycles must be ridden to the bicycle return point at the event's finishing station, 'Houli Horse Ranch,' for return. (V) After returning the bicycle, present your bib number at the exchange counter to collect your completion gift and deposit. V.
