The Kaohsiung City Government Tourism Bureau is launching an upgraded version of its "Wild Fun in East Kaohsiung Mini-Tours." Starting from May 2026, it plans 20 tour sessions across six major themes, and for the first time, introduces 2 two-day, one-night in-depth experiences. The routes connect mountain towns such as Neimen, Liugui, Maolin, Taoyuan, Shanlin, Meinong, and Jiaxian, exploring forest retreats up to an altitude of 1,500 meters. These tours combine indigenous culture, Hakka and Hokkien traditions, new resident customs, and local artisan craftsmanship, allowing travelers to escape the urban heatwave and embrace a phytoncide-rich summer sanctuary.
